PhD Student Earns Top Award from Department of Energy.
PhD Student Fellowship. Description: One year fellowships are awarded to promote, recognize, and support PhD level study and research within the Electron Devices Society’s field of interest. It is expected that three fellowships will be awarded, with the intention of at least one fellowship being given to eligible students in each of the following geographical regions every year: Americas.
These students will form the next generation of researchers and skilled professionals. We offer a number of funding opportunities, which support PhD students’ study, training and development in a variety of ways. Our block grant awards are given to universities, or consortia of universities, which recruit PhD students to AHRC-funded places.
All current full-time graduate students in the MS or PhD programs are eligible. Graduation in the current year is not required. The award is made by vote of the Department of Statistics faculty. The award is presented at the annual banquet of the Washington Statistical Society.

The award value and duration varies depending on: the number of terms the student has been enrolled in a program; whether or not they were admitted from a master’s degree, a bachelor’s degree or transferred from a master’s to a PhD; and the number of terms in which the student has previously received the award.
